We use quality glulam wood structures in the manufacture of our products which ensure long-lasting and sturdy doors and windows thanks to modern prefabrication and finishing.

In finishing we only use environmentally friendly water-based paint systems – both in covering paints as well as transparent lacquers in a pleasingly wide range of colours. Suitable colours and lacquers can be found in the RAL and Teknos catalogues.

The colour options found in the catalogue are produced electronically. These do not replace the actual colour tones, which can be affected by the product itself, lighting conditions, and many other factors. Final decisions regarding colour should be made on the basis of our colour cards.

We do not recommend using lacquers on exterior surfaces, since its UV resistance is significantly lower than RAL covering paints.

If safety and security are important key words for you, then you should consider using specially-processed safety glass to help you create a safe and secure home. The greatest drawback of conventional glass is its marginal strength and its tendency to break into shards that can cause serious injuries.

Safety glass can be divided into two categories- tempered safety glass and laminated safety glass.

Tempered safety glass

Tempered safety glass can be up to five times stronger than conventional glass. This strength is achieved by heating the glass to its melting point and then quickly cooling it. The chemical, optical, and expanding characteristics of this glass are exactly identical to conventional glass. The only difference is its greater strength and the unique way that it breaks. Safety glass shatters into harmless little pieces which can’t hurt anyone.

If you need glass that is highly resilient and has a safe breaking structure, the tempered safety glass is the right choice.

Laminated safety glass

Laminated safety glass is comprised of two or more layers of glass which are joined together with a plastic film. The film is melted between the two panes at high pressure and temperature. This makes the glass difficult to break and ensures greater safety since broken glass will not fly into shards, but will stay stuck in the plastic film. Thus the possibility of cuts and life-threatening injuries is reduced. Another advantage is defence against UV radiation and better soundproofing since the film between the panes block UV rays and improves sound dampening.

If you need the glass to stay in its place after breaking and not fall out, then laminated safety glass is the right choice.

If the summer sun heats a room up too much or if the direct sunshine is too bright, then sun-blocking glass can be used to reduce the amount of light and heat that the glass will allow through.

Sun-blocking glass comes in two different types – mass coloured sun-blocking glass (absorbent glass) and surface-treated sun-blocking glass (reflective glass).

Mass-coloured sun-blocking glass

Mass-coloured sun-blocking glass is very effective at absorbing solar energy, significantly reducing the amount that makes it into a room. This type of glass protects from heat on one hand, and from excess light on the other due to the pigments that have been added, making the glass darker than other normal glass.

The degree of absorption is determined by the glass’s tone and thickness – the thicker the glass is, the darker it will be and the more effective it is at blocking light and heat from the sun.

Mass-coloured sun-blocking glass comes in various tones, giving you the option to achieve exactly the kind of light in your room that you wish.

Surface-treated sun-blocking glass

Surface-treated sun-blocking glass allows sunlight through, but catches the majority of its energy. This is accomplished thanks to a special metal oxide surface layer that reflects most of the heat from the sunlight that falls on the glass.

If it’s important to you that there be plenty of natural light in a room, the surface-treated sun-blocking glass is the right choice.
Sun-blocking glass is always installed as the outermost layer in order to ensure the greatest efficiency of sun-blocking. Sun-blocking can also be added to safety glass.
